Okay so you’ve got your tickets, you’ve scoped out the set-times, but you’ve still got a couple of things left to do before you’re ready for this weekend’s festivities. Namely 1. Drive to Asbury Park and 2. Figure out what half-these bands sound like.
Good news, sucka, you can do both at the same time! The organizers themselves have put together a 2.5 hour long mixtape (that thing above) featuring 30 tracks from acts performing this weekend. In a similar vein, old friends NPR music have put up a station playing nothing but ATP tracks from now through the end of the weekend.
Finally, Portishead’s own Geoff Barrow sat down w/ Spin Magazine to pick his own highlights. You can read up on that over here.
As for us, while we’re bummed Mogwai had to bail last minute, we’re still thrilled to catch a bunch of acts we’re into at the moment, many of whom we’ve never seen live before. See you there!
