Alex Clare is a London-based singer-songwriter who’s debut album, “The Lateness of the Hour” was released earlier this week. The album was produced by the collaborative brains behind Major Lazer, Diplo and Switch. Their influence is undeniable, taking Alex’s soulful voice and somehow infusing his tracks with the wonky reggae/dance vibe that propelled Major Lazer to international success. The result is not a soul record, it’s not a dance record, we’re not even sure if it’s anywhere in between. It is certainly enjoyable though, and you can check the whole thing after the cut.
