This mashup was posted to YouTube more than 3 years ago, but as usual I was way late to the party and just stumbled upon it last night. As far as mashups go, this might be the most subtle and atypical you’ll ever hear, but goddamn does it just work perfectly. YouTube user Overdubsound combined Radiohead’s classic 15 Step with jazz master Dave Brubeck’s Take Five, took the GCD of both numbers and ended up with Five Step. Both songs apparently use 5/4ths time signatures, so once the mashing has begun, boom: everything’s in it’s right place.
