Holy Ghost! has been around for about three years, releasing an enormously popular single (Hold On), an EP, and remixes for bands like MGMT, Cut Copy, Moby, Phoenix and LCD Soundsystem. Last week, the Brooklyn duo released their long-anticipated debut album. No need to look any further, this will be your summer dance party jam. No, seriously… stop looking. One of the albums many highlights, Jam for Jerry, is titled for Jerry Fuchs, the !!! / Maserati drummer whose tracks can be heard throughout the album, and who died tragically in a Brooklyn elevator accident in 2009. But the final song, Some Children, has got to be my favorite. That may or may not have everything to do with MICHAEL FRICKKIN’ MCDONALD singing on it. MMB can’t wait to see these guys next week in Brooklyn. #YahMoBeThere
