We don’t normally double up on posts for any particular band but the Foo Fighters are certainly doing some cool things in the wake of the release of their new album “Wasting Light.” Tuesday night they played a two hour set for Live on Letterman, paying homage to The Beatles on the same stage on which the iconic British band first played in the U.S. Blazing through their latest album from start to finish, the band filmed the album portion of the show in black and white, mimicking The Beatles’ artwork on the bass drum and, of course, rocking the suits the Fab Four made famous. The rest of the show, filmed in color, included old Foo Fighters favorites such as “Everlong” and “This Is a Call.”  Seems like the only thing missing was an audience full of screaming teenage girls which, after 20 some odd years in the music business, might seem a bit odd for Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters.
