Most everyone knows and loves Seinfeld. The enduring comedic genius from Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld continues to permeate our televisions and culture to this day. The characters and story lines are what made the show so special but the creative team also knew how to make the music work in harmony with the jokes. The choices of music and their references were often very obscure, others more mainstream, but you can’t forget them if you’ve seen as much Seinfeld as I have. This compilation of Seinfeld tunes spans the length of the series and is a must listen for any Seinfeld fan.
Through the diligent efforts of quizmaster David Oliver from Trivia A.D.’s recent NYC Seinfeld Trivia tournament, he has put together a quality compilation of Seinfeld tunes that are guaranteed to highlight memorable moments of the show. Whether it was Newman hauling supreme flounder for China Panda, or Elaine’s battles with dancing and The Eagles, or my personal favorite of the entire series, Kramer’s “My Baby Takes the Morning Train” montage when he finally lands that sweet corporate 9-5. When old man Leland is busting your hump over some reports, put some crackers in your briefcase and crack this soundtrack up real loud.

What about the theme from America’s Greatest Hero? Used as George’s answer phone message … Believe it or not George isn’t at home! … Where could here be? Believe it or not he’s not here
it’s there

I seem to recall “…Morning Train” being used for George at Play Now when they were treating them as though he was handicapped, not Kramer.
or was it used for both?
Yes, you are correct. The same Sheena Easton song was used in both episodes. It’s a little odd considering that the Kramer montage used it first in Season 8′s “The Bizarro Jerry” episode and then recycled for George’s Play Now sequence at the beginning of Season 9. Not a lot of time between those episodes. I guess when a song works, it works, although it’s certainly a little lazy.
The actual title of the Green Day song is “Good Riddance” not “Time of Your Life.”
Chris these were really great songs and true american Iconic memory
Johnny, good catch. I’ve updated the title so that you can spend your life doing something else besides correcting minor errors on the internet.
This is some primo Seinfeld trivia Gunz. With this knowledge I can win the belt. I can take that belt and show it off and win fame and glory–thanks!
Gunz, I’m not sure why you’re criticizing Johnny for wasting his time on “minor errors” on the internet. While it’s cool, Seinfeld minutiae is not exactly going to be heralded for it’s worldly usefulness either.
ha truth Alex, good call.
What about “Master of the House” from Les Misérables?
That’s the first song I thought of as well when I read the article.
What about Pagliacci? The sad, tragic clown. An entire episode was revolved around that song.
“Jerry, Joe Davola. I have a hair on my tongue. Can’t get it off. You know how much I hate that? Of course you do. You put it there. I know what you said about me, Seinfeld. I know you badmouthed me to the execs at NBC. Put the kibosh on my deal. Now I’m gonna put the kibosh on you. You know I’ve kiboshed before. And I will kibosh again.”
You’ve been farked!

What about “When Your Smiling” Mel Torme? The Jimmy was the greatest episode ever!
One of my favorite TV shows ever. Thanks for the songs, they cheered me up!
To be honest, for some of those songs, I thought Seinfeld crew made them up
Especially “Believe it or not”, “Lemon Tree” and “Witchy Woman”.
By the way, the name of the song, which @chris was mentioning, must be “Vesti la giubba” from Pagliacci.
This is awesome! Good Work Gunz, PS (If we’re gonna be sticklers) in the episode with Lemon Tree, they specify the Trini Lopez version.
Thanks for all the positive feedback. There are certainly a lot of songs that were left out, some arguably more memorable or important than those on this soundtrack. However, the intent for many of the songs is to try to figure out the reference itself (Mexican Radio for example is a tough one), which isn’t always easy for a casual or even a hardcore fan. No surprise, coming from a playlist of the Seinfeld trivia quizmaster.
Can someone answer this question?
Does anyone know in “The Deal” episode when Jerry and Elaine are sitting on the couch and the naked people station comes on,
does anyone know the music it is playing???

I edited some of the best musical moments and musical references in “Seinfeld”. My all-time favorite TV series is full of precious songs and music connections and I felt that a selection was needed. Please take a 3 minutes break and enjoy it! I hope the producers won’t be offended by my passionate work based on my incurable addiction to the show.
We thank them all for all the music! Seinfeld forever!
Where did you find the song La Travolta By Guiseppe Verdi, i can’t find this song anywhere. Any chance for a download link of it please?
Hello, does anyone know the name of the song which is played in “The Clip-Show” when Georges Father and Kramer are kind of dancing and then George and his mother come in. The songs starts at this scene but boes on a bit. It’s Swing. Thanks for helping!!
