Wolf Parade hasn’t changed their sound – and that’s a good thing.

Janelle Monae – Cold War

Janelle Monae, my current ubercrush, delivers a haunting vocal performance over a beat that I can only assume is Big Boi’s making this track sound like the awesome love child of Bombs over Baghdad and I Want You. You’ll be singing this for weeks, guaranteed.

Tom:

Fever Ray – Seven

I regret missing Fever Ray at coachella. Her album has grown on me a ton since then.

Oshin:

The Kills – Last Day of Magic

Allison Mosshart before she started rocking hard in The Dead Weather.

Christian:

Kanye West – Power feat. Dwele

Coming out of nowhere, Kanye proves he’s still a musical genius.
